CN Sharma's VAT Protest March.

January 13th 2007, C.N. Sharma, leader of the Justice For All party in Guyana led a march through the streets of Georgetown in protest of the implementation of VAT in Guyana. Sharma is of the view that VAT will increase the cost of living beyond the reach of the poor and ordinary people. On January 1st 2007, VAT was introduced in Guyana at the rate of 16% much to the discomfort and annoyance of Guyanese from all walks of life.
