Thousands of Guyana and tourists from all walks of life flocked every available open space to celebrate the 2006 Easter weekend here in Guyana. The MaxCam was out and we captured these candid shots for your viewing  pleasure.  Enjoy. Bryan Mackintosh, Webmaster.

Hit and Jams Easter lime on the lawns of the Pegasus Hotel. Thousands of kites everywhere you looked Kites of all colors and shapes. The Georgetown skyline totally overtaken with kites of all descriptions.  
  President Jadeo taking a stroll on the seawall. This huge 14 footer kite was on display at the Everest ground. Don Gomes and Habieb strikes a pose with the creators of this giant kite. Just to give you an idea how tall this kite really is.
         
Helpers including Don Gomes holding the giant up for takeoff. It rose slowly into the air then higher and up and away. And on the other end of the spectrum was this tiny kite, barely an inch in size.
